Site Alarms
This article provides step-by-step instructions for:
- Viewing site alarms in table and map views
- Managing and customizing alarm settings

Prerequisites
- Login to the Shasta Cloud Portal
- Choose either one of Deployment view or the Network View to view the Site Alarms
Step-by-Step Instructions
Viewing the site Alarms
Step-1: Navigate to the left menu and select Dashboard. This will display the Vitals panel at the top of the page, followed by additional details below. If there are no active alarms, the panel will show the message: "No Current Critical or Major Alarms."
If any alarms are present, a list of organizations or businesses with active alarms will be displayed as shown below.
Step-2: Expand the Org / Sub-Org tree to find the drill-down view of the alarms.
Step-3: Hover over the entries listed in the Alarms Column to find more details of the alarms.
Step-4: To view more details about the alarms, click on the count, which will open the Notifications section for the corresponding organization.
Customizing the Alarms view - Columns
Step-1: In the Site alarms view, click on the Settings icon (gear symbol), to customize the following columns

Note: The line charts do not include a scale representation on the Y-axis. For a more detailed view of trends, click on the respective organization or venue to explore its in-depth trend charts.
To view more of the Bar Chart, through click action opens up graphs and various hover options with hover over display as follows:
Step-2: To refine the displayed items in the columns, utilize either the quick filters or custom filters.
Currently, custom filters allow selection of the following options in this view.

Viewing Alarms in Map view
Step-1: From the table view, click on the Globe icon
This will open up the map view showing the pins with appropriate color code
Step-2:
Zoom into the map to access more details.
In the given map example and quick filters, some icons display numbers. You can zoom in on these icons to reveal additional details.
In this instance, zooming in expands the icon to show three more pins, each with its own information.
Further drill down expands it fully.
Step-3: Click on the map pin to show more information about the venue.
Exporting Alarms
Step-1: From the table view, click on the Export icon
- Note: Export is NOT available in the Map View.
Step-2: Find the exported file in the Downloads Folder that is set on the browser that you are currently into. The file name is saved as example: Site Alarms List-(All)-(20).xlsx
The following information is exported
Column Name | Description |
Entity | It is an entity identifier in the system (Organization, Venue). |
Hierarchical | A representation of the organization hierarchy, showing the relationship between the parent and child organizations. |
Parent | The name of the parent organization to which current organization or venue belongs |
Name | The name of the organization. |
State | The state of the organization (ex. Live, Onboarding etc) |
Infrastructure_Online | The infrastructure of the venues which includes online infrastructure. |
Infrastructure_Total | The infrastructure of the venues which includes total infrastructure. |
Avg Uptime | It refers to the time that a system, service, or infrastructure is operational and available over a given period |
Alarms_Critical | The critical alarms associated with the organization. |
Alarms_Major | The major alarms associated with the organization. |
OrgId | The unique identifier for the organization. |
OrgTypeId | The type identifier for the organization (1: Shasta, 2: MSP, 3: Business). |
VenueId | The unique identifier for the venue. |
VenueType | The type identifier for the venue (1: Site, 2: Sub Venue). |
