Major new features & enhancements:
Support for Enterprise AAA (802.1x) networks
- RADIUS Authenticated SSID
- When authenticating clients with back-office RADIUS systems, the configuration permits this on a per SSID basis.
WPA3 support
Added support for WPA3 network type configuration.
Manage network bands
Ability to setup/create networks on specific bands (2.4/5/6GHz)
6 GHz support
Added support for the 6GHz Band in Network Settings
Added ability to filter out the 6 GHz bands.
Bulk import of Infrastructure
Import group of access points in one go using Bulk import Infrastructure of Shasta cloud using a smart template.
- An auto-generated template includes two sample entries. User can add the infrastructure details in the sheet in the similar manner to add more by editing the template and importing it via the portal.
- Device Type list is populated based on the type of Infrastructure supported by Shasta Cloud.
- Addition of new device type, venue is allowed through Import template.
Firmware upgrade - per venue schedule
Handling of new Venue/infrastructure added after upgrade is scheduled.
- Covering Infra added when upgrade in Scheduled state.
- Covering Infra added when upgrade is in Ongoing state.
- Covering Infra added after upgrade is complete.
Automatic channel selection
Added support for Automatic channel selection. This is disabled by default. Once set to ON, the channel selection algorithm will start to function.
Web-UI Improvements
- Added sorting and filtering on various pages at AP Profile listing, Device, Identity, Infrastructure, Managed Organization, Network, RF profile and support listing sections.
- Next to each search bar, you can now click on the funnel icon to open the filters selector
- To sort the various tables on the UI, click on the up/down arrows next to the value you want to sort by
- Harmonized the behaviour of tables, columns and sorting.
- Added infrastructure count on the Venue listing page.
- Updated main dashboard - includes now widgets for Venue, Infrastructure, devices, support, network and added informative details in each of them relevant to the purpose of the dashboard.
- Email notifications are sent for firmware upgrades.
Other Improvements
- Improved handling of Upgrade errors, and auto-downgrade to last used firmware if upgrade has failed.
- Handled new added infrastructure upgrades after a previous upgrade schedule completion.
- Handled scenarios of AP offline when a scheduled upgrade is done, and ensure the Offline APs are listed and highlighted.
- Automatic collection of AP support logs when a ticket is filed.
Fixed issues:
- Duplicate client devices displayed in Devices List. (Case #79)
- Unable to perform enable / disable radio by band. (Case #64)
- Client isolation setting does not show correct state in the UI (Case #47)
- Bulk Import progress bar stuck at "NaN" (nternal case #788)
Known issues:
- Intermittent clients disconnect issues - affects a specific WiFi5 Intel (7260) client, after 30minutes to several hours of been connected to the Wi-Fi AP, IP traffic stops working, requiring the end user to disconnect and re-connect in order to restore IP connectivity. (Case #501)
- Enable the AP to transmit on specific radio such as 2.4GHz and disable 5GHz and 6GHz bands. (Case #796)
