An MSP (Managed Service Provider) and a business differ in their primary focus and operational scope.

  • An MSP is a specialized company that provides outsourced IT services, managing and maintaining a range of IT functions for other businesses.

  • A Business refers to any organization or entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities to generate profit. Businesses can encompass various industries and sectors, offering products, services, or a combination of both, and their focus extends beyond IT to include operations, sales, marketing, and other facets essential to their specific industry.

In our hierarchy, MSPs can have business assigned under them, but a business can’t assign MSP under it.
